I used to wake up feeling frustrated every morning. My mind attacked me with everything I didn’t have the moment I opened my eyes.
I don’t have enough money.
Why is my boyfriend not texting me?
Urgh, I’m not pretty enough for anything.
Why are my manifestations not showing up?
Sounds familiar?
If your mind is like this all day, every day, chances are your nervous system doesn’t feel safe enough for you to take on new, healthy beliefs.
Trust me, I’ve tried.
One of the biggest factors that helped me manifest everything almost instantly in the 3D is regulating my nervous system.
Let me break it down for you.
Our nervous system is where the body and mind communicate. When it’s dysregulated, like when we’re anxious, overthinking, or stuck in survival mode, our energy signals fear and resistance. That blocks what we’re trying to attract. But when it’s calm and grounded, our body feels safe. Our energy is open. And things start flowing easily.
Regulating your nervous system isn’t just self care. It’s what allows you to feel safe receiving, trusting, and manifesting effortlessly.
Back when I wasn’t consistent with regulating my nervous system, new beliefs and affirmations made my heart race.
As if my heart was telling me:
This is so new. This doesn’t feel safe at all. I prefer the old familiar way of operating.
Even when those old habits did more harm than good. Your nervous system sets the entire tone for your day. That’s when I realized I couldn’t keep living a life where I didn’t feel good.
I decided to be the change.
8 Things I Do Before I Really Start My Day
1. Breathwork
The first thing I do when I wake up and the last thing I do before bed is breathwork.
It calms my racing thoughts like nothing else.
Here’s the video I use daily from Wim Hof. Honestly, I’m grateful I found this one.
Breathwork activates your parasympathetic nervous system. That’s the part of your body responsible for rest and relaxation. Even just a few minutes shifts your body out of stress mode and into a calmer state where you can actually receive.
2. EFT Tapping
I personally love doing EFT tapping with Brad Yates.
If something triggers me during the day, I stop and tap on it as soon as I can.
My default one for every morning is his tapping for stress video. It’s helped me clear so many unhealthy and stressful thought patterns.
Tapping sends signals to your brain that you’re safe, which lowers cortisol and calms your fight or flight response. It’s one of the fastest ways to shift your emotional state when you’re spiraling.
3. Stretch
A good morning stretch helps clear my mind.
I work from home, and most of the time I’m sitting at my desk all day staring at a screen.
Stretching releases the tension my body holds overnight and throughout the day. Tight muscles are a sign of a nervous system on alert. When I stretch, I’m telling my body it’s okay to relax.
4. A Cup of Warm Water
Gotta stay hydrated.
Warm water first thing in the morning helps wake up your digestive system gently. It’s a small act, but it signals to your body that you’re taking care of it. That matters more than you think.
5. Get My Free Vitamin D
I take a morning walk right after I wake up. Two or three times a week.
Not a lot, but I’m proud of it. And from my walk, I get to bathe in warm, loving sunlight.
Here’s a heart-shaped (kinda) bush of flowers I found on one of my walks.

Research shows that walking within 90 minutes of waking up helps your body use the cortisol spike that naturally occurs in the morning. Cortisol increases by 60 to 150 percent during this window. If you don’t move your body and use it, it builds up. That’s why you might feel anxious or wired even when nothing’s wrong.
Morning sunlight also helps regulate your circadian rhythm, which affects your sleep, mood, and energy levels throughout the day.
6. Healthy Breakfast
My breakfast is always the same.
- One sunny side up egg
- Two pieces of toast
- A fresh tomato
- A cup of water
Simple. But it gives me steady energy to start my day without crashing later.
What you eat affects your nervous system too. Blood sugar spikes from sugary or processed foods can trigger anxiety and mood swings. A balanced breakfast keeps things stable.
7. Write Down My To-Do List
Having everything I need to do written down lifts a huge weight off my mind.
I’m a planner. I need clarity. When I can see what’s on my plate, I feel grounded and in control.
But if I don’t, my mind gets cluttered. I end up doing nothing. Or worse, I end up mindlessly scrolling on my phone.
Which leads me to the last one.
8. Stay Away From Mindless Scrolling
I’ve deleted TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
I still keep a few apps for news and updates, but sometimes I catch myself opening them without thinking. And suddenly, an hour is gone.
So lately I’ve been tracking my scrolling. Every time my finger automatically opens an app, I pause, notice what I just did, and write it down in my notes. It helps me stay aware. And that awareness alone has made a huge difference.
Here’s what it looks like.

Social media is designed to keep your nervous system activated. The constant novelty, the notifications, the comparison. It all keeps you in a low level state of stress without you even realizing it. Cutting back is one of the most underrated things you can do for your mental and emotional health.
What Changed After One Month
I’ve been consistently regulating my nervous system for only a month.
And it completely changed my life.
I feel lighter. Happier. My thoughts are so much kinder.
Some of my manifestations have shown up almost instantly. And I know more are on the way.
You deserve that peace too.
Your mind and body are worthy of feeling safe, supported, and open to all the good things coming your way.
If you want to go deeper, I wrote a full guide on what nervous system regulation is and why it’s the missing link to manifestation. You can read it here.
